1967, in the Council Chambers at 7 :;r" '.; i. with i`iayor Djorneby presiding.
All councilmen were present.
Minutes of the meeting held ioveiiber 6, 1967, were read. Council.;,an
Roche ;,loved approval of the minutes as corrected. Seconded by Councilman
McCormick and carried.

Councilman Roberts moved acceptance of the City Official Reports as
submitted. Seconded by Councilman icCormick and carried.
Resolutions:
Councilman Roberts proved adoption of 1�:esolution io. 2649 Resolu-
tion of Intention to Extend the Corporate Limits to Include 'fed's Addition
No. 2, with the stipulation that the cost of extension of water lines to
be borne by the developer. seconded. ".,,7 Councilman "iron. Roll C.-all Vote.
All voted Aye.
Councilman Hensle« rioved ado- tier. of esoiution tN'o. 2050 - AResolu-
tion Authorizing the i•:ayor to execute Contract for Sale and Purchase of

Committee :eoorts:
Safety - Appointment of Police Lieutenant to be third ranking officer
in Police Department - The Safety Coi,,riittee recommends that Plain. Clothes -
man Sgt. Curtis Snyder he appointed lieutenant - the rank to be above Sgt.
and below Ass't. Police Chief. io additional pay is recommended at this
t ime.
Councilman Miron moved adoption of the Safety Corm,;ittee Report. Se-
conded by Councilman Happ and carried.
Parking i4eter - Re ;nest of i'ontana State I'ighway Patrol Driver Examiner
Station for two free parking spaces on t'.:e East side of First Avenue East
immediately south of 3rd Street East - Councilman Riley reported the i:ont-
ana Highway Patrol Drivers Examining Station is to be located at 311 First
Avenue East. The Committee recomr,ends that the request for two free park-
in; spaces he granted. This is a pui,lis service and the Committee feels
that the public should not be charged for parking while being examined for
the privilege of driving.
Councilman Riley moved the Drivers Examiner Station of the Montana
State Highway Patrol be granted two free parking spaces on the East side
of First Avenue East just south of 3rd Street East. Seconded by Council-
man Happ and carried.
Finance - Councilman ':Iensley reported the Committee has audited all
claims and approved them for payment. Councilman Hensley moved acceptance
of the Finance Committee Report. Seconded by Councilman O'Brien and
carried.
Councilman Roberts moved that Councilman O'Brien be commended for his
work on the Consolidation of the City -County Library. Seconded by Council-
man Rilev and carried.
Addressin_- the Council:
Fire Chief Charles Tillson rcquested periiission to be out of State (lur-
ing the Thanksgiving; holiday. Councilman 0' rien moved Fire Chief Charles
Tillson be authorized to be absent from the City and State during the Thanks-
giving holiday. Seconded by Councilman `;iron and carried.
Fire Chief Tillson recommendPci that the roofing bid of Richards Sheet
Metal be approved. Councilman Roche moved acceptance of the bid of Richards
Sheet Metal in the amount of $855.00 for re -.roofing the Fire Department.
Seconded by Councilman. M ron and carried.

was discussed.
