A Special Meeting of the Kalispell City Council was held Ilay 24, 1967,
in accordance with the following notice given and acknowledged:
TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNCILMEN
CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA
Gentlemen:
There will be a Special Meeting of the City Council Wednesday, May
24, 1967, in the City Clerk's Office at 5:15 P.M. for the following purpose:
OPEN BIDS FOR SEWAGE LIFT STATION
We, the undersigned, being all of the members of the City Council, do
hereby waive notice of the date and purpose of the Special Meeting of the
City Council to be held Wednesday, May 24, 1967, at 5:15 P.1"., and consent
to the transaction of the above and any other business that may properly
come before the Council.

Mayor Bjorneby presided at the meeting. All councilmen were present.
BIDS - SEWAGE LIFT STATION:
Pacific Pumping Co.
Total price, F.O.B. factory, freight allowed to
job site - $7,360.00
Terms: Net 30 days from date of shipment.
Waterworks Equipment Co.
Tex-Vit factory built automatic sewage pumping station
$6,988.00 F.O.B. Kalispell
Terms: 30 days
Councilman O'Brien moved the bids be referred to Sewer -Water Committee
with power to act. Seconded by Councilman Happ and carried.
Councilman Hensley moved the City Treasurer be authorized to cash
$16,584.75 of Sewer -Water Redemption Time Certificates to pay the Revenue
Bonds due. Seconded by Councilman O'Brien and carried.
Mayor Bjorneby read a letter from John Harris requesting permission to
begin a 30-day vacation on June 1st. Councilman Riley moved the request of
John Harris to begin a 30-day vacation June 1, 1967, be granted. Seconded
by Councilman Roche and carried.
Councilman "'iron moved the June 5th meeting be postponed to June 6th.
Seconded by Councilman Riley and carried.
Water Committee:
Councilman Roberts reported the Committee requests Council approval of
water meter purchases as needed, each purchase to be within the $1,000.00
allowable limits. This will :rake it unnecessary to call for bids and make
it possible to have just one brand of meter. This will simplify the stock-
ing of replacement parts and will make it more feasable to convert to com-
puter billing in the future. Councilman Riley moved the Water Department
be authorized to place water meter orders as needed, each order to be within
the $1,000.00 allowable limits. Seconded by Councilman Roche and carried.

Cou Gilman Kiley stated th /the felt there was a need for signs alert-
ing motorists that there is one-way traffic ahead where streets and avenues
change from two-way traffic to one-way traffic.
Parks:
Councilman Roche reported some of the property owners of the Northridge
area have offered to furnish equipment and labor to develop the City Park
in the Northridge Addition, if the City will furnish plans and design and
extend water service to the Park. A further report will be given at the
next Council meeting.
Councilman O'Brien reported that motorcyclists have been using the hill-
side, recently excavated in building the baseball field in Woodland Park, as
a hill climb course, and that this should not be allowed. Councilman O'Brien moved mo-torcycles & two -wheeled motorized vehicles be restricted from all City Parks.
Seconded by Councilman Hensley and carried.
Councilman O'Brien moved for adjournment. Seconded by Councilman Roche
and carried.
