REGULAR MEETING
A regular meeting of the Kalispell City Council was held February 13,
1967, at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers with Council President Bjorneby
presiding. Mayor Flynn was absent.
All councilmen were present.
The minutes of the February 7, 1967, meeting were read and approved
as read on motion of Councilman W. Roberts. Seconded by Councilman Roche
and carried.
City Official Reports:
City Clerk and City Treasurer - December
Police Judge, Police Chief, City Engineer and Sanitarian - January
Councilman Roche moved acceptance of the City Official Reports.
Seconded by Councilman Riley and carried.
Committee Reports:
Finance - On Insurance Bids, Councilman Homuth reported that the
Finance Committee recommends including a $250.00 medical pay to take care
of minor claims along with Liability Insurance when bids are called for
next year, providing the cost is not prohibitive. The Committee accepted
the joint bids of Hammer -Sauer Agency and Ennis & Graves Agency --the bids
in the amount of $3,920.00 for liability limits of 250/500 Bodily Injury'
and 50/100 Property Damage with the State Auto & Casualty Company. The
lower bid premium in the amount of $3,798.00 was not accepted because the
property damage coverage was 25/50. The Insurance Committee recommended
the higher limits on property damage coverage. Councilman Homuth moved
acceptance of the Finance Committee report. Seconded by Councilman O'Brien
and carried.
Addressing the Council:
Mr. Joe Laurin of Route 2, Airport Road, reported that the party water
line, which extends beyond the city limits in that area, was leaking badly
and that users toward the end of the line had very little pressure and
desired to know if the City would repair or replace this line. The Council
members informed Mr. Laurin that the maintenance and repair of this line'.
was the responsibility of the parties who shared the line. Water.,Supt.
Harris was directed to investiage and prepare an estimate of the cost of
proper repair or replacement of the line.
Mr. Gibson and Mr. Nelson, representatives of the Badger Meter
presented film slides and spoke to the Council members regarding the
tages of their company's remote reading water meter.

Councilman O'Brien moved acceptance of the bonds. Seconded by Council-
man M. Roberts and carried.
Councilman W. Roberts moved for adjournment. Seconded by Councilman
Homuth and carried.
