02/24/69 SP City Council MinutesSPECIAL MEETING A Special Meeting of the Kalispell City Council was held February 24, 1969, in the Council Chambers, in accordance with the following notice given and acknowledged: TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNCILMEN CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA Gentlemen: There will be a Special Meeting of the City Council Monday, February 24, 1969, in the Council Chambers at 7:30 P.M. for the following purpose: TO CONSIDER: SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FOR 1969 TO DELINEATE RENEWAL AREAS. ACQUISITION OF DUMP GROUND AREA We, the undersigned, being all of_the members of the City Council, do hereby waive notice of the date and purpose of the Special Meeting of the City Council to be held Monday, February 24, 1969, at 7:30 P.M., and con- sent to the transactions of the above and any other business that may prop- erly come before the Council. Following a_discussion regarding the renewal areas, Councilman O'Brien moved the renewal areas be delineated, as described by City Engineer Mc- Clintick. Seconded by Councilman Happ and carried. A discussion of some of the proposed projects for the renewal areas and the need for providing some cost estimates was held. Councilman Rob- erts moved the proposed projects and cost estimates be left to the dis- cretion of the City Engineer. Seconded by Councilman Miron and carried. Also -discussed, was the possibility of acquiring some land for dump ground purposes at a Sheriff's Sale to be held Wednesday. Councilman O'Brien moved the Mayor and City Engineer be authorized to expend up to $28,000.00 of Garbage funds for land acquisition, and further authorized the expenditure of sum necessary for a title report.
