ary 7, 1969, in the Council Chambers at 7:00 P.M. for the following pur-
pose:
TO CONSIDER PLANS FOR SEWER TREATMENT PLANT
We, the undersigned, being all of the members of the City Council,
do hereby waive notice of the date and purpose of the Special Meeting of
the City Council to be held Friday, February 7, 1969, at 7:00 P.M., and
consent to the transaction of the above and any other business that may
properly come before the Council.

City Attorney
Mr. Willis Whetstine of Morrison-Maierle reviewed and explained plans
for secondary sewage treatment facilities. Various items were discussed,
among them being:
Projected Population
Treatment Plant Flows
Three alternate secondary treatment plans
1. Trickling Filter
2. Aerated Lagoons
3. Aerated Lagoon and Filtration
The initial costs, operating costs and comparative
effectiveness of each treatment process.
Sludge Disposal Process
Plant improvements on present treatment facilities
Removal of phosphates
The possible need for revising plans because of pending legis-
lation (Senate Bill No. 19).
There was a recommendation that action be delayed until it is deter-
mined whether the bills being considered by the legislature are passed,
and if passed, what effect it will have on Kalispell's plans for secon-
dary sewage treatment facilities.
It was agreed by Councilmen that no determination should be made
at this time.
The meeting was adjourned by Mayor Bjorneby.
