A Special Meeting of the Kalispell City Council was held
August 17, 1970, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall in
accordance with the following notice given and acknowledged:
TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNCILMEN
CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA
Gentlemen:
There will be a Special Meeting of the City Council Monday,
August 17, 1970 in the Council Chambers at 7:30 P. M. for the
following purpose:
Authorize Call for Bids
Wage Adjustments
We, the undersigned, being all of the members of the City
Council, do hereby waive notice of the date and purpose of the
Special Meeting of the City Council to be held Monday, August
179 1970, at 7:30 P. M. and consent to the transaction of the
above and any other business that may properly come before the
Council.

Mayor Bjorneby presided. Councilman Miron, Riley, and O'Brien
were absent. All other councilmen were present.
Discussion was held regarding salaries of various department
heads.
Councilman Roberts moved Water Superintendent Lauterjung, and
City Engineer McClintick be granted $50.00 per month raise, and
City Inspector and Surveyor Jackson be granted $35.00 per month
raise. 2nd Councilman Roche. Carried. [Turner voted no].
Councilman Roche moved City Engineer McClintick be authorized
to call for bids for a 16 cubic yard vacumn cleaner and to prepare
general specifications. 2nd Councilman Roberts. Carried.
Councilman Turner reported the Sewer and Water Committee
with power to act had arranged terms for the extension of water
mains with developers of Grandview Heights Addition #2 and the
developers of Woodland Park Addition.
.The terms were discussed by Councilmen and the City Attorney
was instructed as to the terms desired in the agreement for
the Grandview Heights Addition #2. [1/3 cash, 1/3 @ 6 months,
1/3 @ 12 months, 6% interest to be charged]. Grandview Heights
Property to be annexed to city before water main extension
construction. Woodland Park Addition developers to pay cash.

Mayor Bjorneby reported the Police Department desires a "Wild
Animal" Ordinance. City Attorney Donahue to check model ordinances
regarding such an ordinance.
Councilman Roche suggested basic ground rules for annexation
be set up for future annexations. City Engineer McClintick to
prepare rules and submit to council for consideration.
Meeting adjourned by Mayor Bjorneby.
