Dear Sir:
Wp find that we can not get a firm delivery date on the two Patrol cars
called for in your request for bids to be opened 10-9-72.
From our past experience with the last unit this firm sold to the city.the
factory was very slow upon delivery as to their quoted time. They will not give
us a definite time on delivery and we certainly could not live with a $50.00
a aay penalty, or keep up the maintainence and repairs on the present vehicles.
For these reasons we are sincerely sorry that we will not be able to give
quotations on these two cars.
Sincerely,
W. C. Gabriel

F. O. B. Kalispell $2, 707 ea $5,414.00
We must take the following exceptions from the adver-
tised specifications:
Moldboard, Item #2 - We offer the standard Gledhill
safety trip system with extension type tension springs
in place of "adjustable compression springs". Our
open -pull type springs are self-cleaning while a com-
pression type spring can get filled up with ice and snow,
preventing positive trip action.
Hydraulic System Item #3 - Gledhill will not offer a
cable lift for reversible type plows. As a plow reverses,
the cable would have to slide over a shackle device
that easily damages this cable. We offer standard 3/8"
heavy duty chain lift with a specially designed, com-
pensating lift eye.

Power Release, Item #1 - The Gledhill standard power
circle table reverses to 35 degrees left or right rather
than the specified 42 degrees. We do not believe there
is any advantage in having the increase reversing angle.
Power Release, Item #2 - The Gledhill double acting _
reversing rams are 4 inch bore by 20-1/2" stroke with
1-1/2" solid chrome -plated rods.
Power Release, Item #4 - Again we take exception to
the "cable lift"; refer above.
