RESOLUTION NO.5645
A RESOLUTION LEVYING AN ASSESSMENT FOR THE COST OF LIGHTING THE STREETS
AND ALLEYS IN THE CITY SPECIAL LIGHTING DISTRICT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2013-
2014.
WHEREAS, the assessment cost of the Special Lighting District for the fiscal year 2013-2014 is estimated
to be $236,000.00, and
WHEREAS, at a public hearing held on the 5th day of August, 2013, the City Council did consider all
objections made to said estimate and to the basis of levy and assessment for payment for said
cost.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL,
MONTANA:
SECTION 1. That a tax levied for the assessment cost of $236,000.00 be in the amounts
set opposite the description of each lot or parcel of land, as shown by the
special assessment lists on file in the office of the City Finance Director.
SECTION 2. The amount of said tax shall be levied proportionately on an area basis for
real property within the city that is within 300 feet of a city maintained street
light in the amount of $.00300 per square foot of lot or parcel of land within
the district except public streets or rights of way. Ordinance 1696 caps
assessments for lighting of vacant land at 5 acres.

OF KALISPELL THIS 19TH DAY OF AUGUST, 2013.
