Ordinance 913 - Fees for Moving House, Building or StructureORDINANCE 913 29 1 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 24-51, KALISPELL CITY CODE, TO ESTABLISH THE FEE FOR MOVING A HOUSE, BUILDING OR STRUCTURE OF ANY SIZE IN TRANSIT THROUGH THE CITY; TO PROVIDE AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 24-51, Kalispell City Code is hereby amended to hereafter read as follows: "The permit required by this article shall be obtained by filing with the building inspector an application there- fore, signed by the owner or agent of the owner of the build- ing desired to be moved, or by the contractor or other person who will do such moving. Such application shall show the size, structure and general nature and character of the build- ing desired to be moved, the name of the owner thereof and of the person who will do the actual moving, the place of location from which and to which such building is to be moved, and the date when it is desired to move it and the estimated time of completion of the work. Such application shall be accompanied by payment of a fee as follows: For a house, building or structure 400 sq. feet or less, to or from any point in the city; and, a house, building or structure of any size in transit through the city for a period of 48 hours orless ..........................................$ 25.00 For a house, building or structure 401 sq. feet to 900 sq. ft.i. to.or,from ,any point in the..city.$ 50.00 For a house, building or structure of more than 900 sq. ft..;i to or from.any.point .in the.city.... $100.00 Such application shall also be accompanied by a good and sufficient indemnity bond for the sum and in the amount of one thousand dollars, approved by the building inspector, or by a cash deposit in like amount in lieu of such bond, con- ditioned that such applicant shall pay to the city all damages that may or might be sustained by the city, or to its streets, alleys or other public thoroughfares and its trees, shrubbery, parking and other public or city property, and that such. applicant shall save and hold the city, its officers, agents and employees free and clear of any damage or liability that might arise in connection with or on account of such moving. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from the date of its final passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
