ORDINANCE NO. 863
AN ORDINANCE TO AB'IEND SECTION 5-1, KALISPELL CITY CODE, TO
PROVIDE FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE 1976 EDITION OF "UNIFORM
BUILDING CODE"' TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY AND TO REPEAL CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL,
MONTANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 5-1 of the Kalispell City_ Code is hereby
amended to provide as follows:
A certain document, three conies of which are on file
in the office of the City Clerk, designated as "Uniform
Building Code, 1976 Edition,' published and adopted by the
International Conference of Building Officials, Pasadena,
California, shall be the Building Code for the City of
Kalispell regulating the erection, construction, enlarge-
ment, alteration, repair, moving, removal, demolition,
conversion, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area and
maintenance of all buildings or structures in the city;
providing for issuance of permits and collection of fees
therefor; and providing penalties for the violation of
any such Building Code; and provided further, that, in
the event that any provi_s-on of the City Code or state
law shall be in conflict with the "Uniform Building Code"
the provisions of the City Code or the state law shall
prevail.
SECTION 2. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
is effective immediately upon passage and adoption hereof.
SECTION 3. All ordinances the City of Kalispell, or parts
thereof, in flict her ith are hereby repealed.
