ORDINANCE NO, 808
AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH ONE WAY TRAFFIC FROM EAST TO 'REST ON
A PORTION OF SIXTH STREET EAST AND A PORTION OF SIXTH STREET WEST
AND TO ESTABLISH ONE WAY TRAFFIC FROM WEST TO EAST ON A PORTION OF
SEVENTH STREET EAST A14D A PORTION OF SEVENTH STREET WEST; TO
PROVIDE FOR THE MARKING OF SUCH STREETS WITH DIRECTIONAL SIGNS;
TO PROVIDE A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF SUCH PROVISIONS; TO CREATE
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL,
MONTANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Al vehicular travel on Seventh Street West between
"gain Street and Fourth Avenue West shall be from the west to the
east, and no person shall travel or operate any motor vehicle,
bicycle or any other kind of vehicle westerly on such portion of
Seventh Street West,
SECTION 2. All vehicular travel on Sixth Street West between Main
Street and Fifth Avenue West shall be from the east to the west,
and no person shall travel or operate any motor vehicle, bicycle
or any other kind of vehicle easterly on such portion of Sixth
Street West.
SECTION 3. All vehicular travel on Sixth Street East between Main
Street and First Avenue East shall be from east to west, and no
person shall travel or operate any motor vehicle, bicycle or anv
other kind of vehicle easterly on such portion of Sixth Street East.
SECTION 4. All vehicular travel on Seventh Street East between
Main Street and First Avenue East shall be from west to east, and
no person shall travel or operate any motor vehicle, bicycle or any
' other kind of vehicle westerly on such portion of Seventh Street East.
SECTION 5. The chief of police shall appropriately mark all of the
streets mentioned herein with.directional and other signs so as to
enable the drivers of motor ve4icles to comply with these sections.
SECTION 6. Any person violating any of the provisions of the
sections mentioned herein, shall, upon conviction thereof, be
punished by a fine of not more than one hundred fifty dollars or
by imprisdriment,- for a period not exceeding ninety.days or both
such fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 7. An emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall become effective immediately.
