Re: Joint Cities -County Meeting
I received a phone call this morning from Elaine, the Commissioners's secretary, and
the Commissioners would like to add a Discussion of the Census 2000 Review on the agenda
for Monday night.
In addition, I also received a letter from Whitefish (copy attached) with a possible
discussion of allowing Cities to appoint board members without Commissioner approval.

Dear Theresa:
I apologize for the tardiness of this response to your letter of
19 February regarding the "Fifth Monday" meeting in -Kalispell.
With a number of councilors out-of-town over the school spring
break, I have not been able to determine probable attendance at
the meeting. At this time, however, you may expect all seven
council members to attend. They are:
Mayor Mike Jenson
Chet Hope
Jan Metzmaker
Gary Stephens
Don Nelson
Shirley Jacobson
Mike Gwiazdon
The only topic I have heard any member of the Council express an
interested in exploring with the elected officials of the other
jurisdictions pertains to the County Commissioners appointment of
city representatives to various boards and whether the nominee
forwarded by a city council should not be appointed without
question by the Commissioners.
Sincerely,
