Enclosed you will find several items relating to the proposed Downtown B.I.D.
1. The first item you will find is the Petition that we want you to sign. The -language
and content of the Petition was approved by the city attorney.
2. The second item is the list of owners of property within the proposed area. Those
owners (shown i %*j have already signed the petition. We currently have
around 40% of the total. The City of Kalispell owns an additional 11.18%. The city
properties are shown on their appropriate blocks but the total area for all city
properties within the district is shown on the first page. Also shown on this line is the
city's 11.18% of the $100,000 budget (S 11,180).
3. Item 3 is the map of the B.I.D. area

Creation of a Business Improvement District in
Downtown Kalispell, Montana
I, as a property owner within the proposed district;, hereby petition the Kalispell City Council
to create a Business Improvement District (BID), pursuant to the Business Improvement District Act d
the Montana Code Annotated Sec. 7-12-1101.
The District shall be created for the general purpose of promoting private Investment and
business expansion in the district„ promoting business activity by advertising, decorating, marketing
and promotion of business activities in the District. it shall also perform such other functions as are
necessary to carry out the purposes of Sec. 7-12-1131, and bo further the objectives of the District.
