Background:
In May 2000, we received a Pre I. S.O. Evaluation. Since
that time the Kalispell Fire Department has made several
improvements.

1. We have purchased seven new ladders.
2. We have a training officer to provide more training and to preplan high
risk areas and keep better training records.
3. We have hired two more firefighters, in order to maintain a four man
shift.
4. We have also made some improvements in our 911 calls from the Kalispell
Police Department.
I have attached the Pre I. S.O. Evaluation from May 2000 and the fire supression
rating schedule of July 1991 for a comparison.
Recommendation: None at this time.
Fiscal Effects: None at this time.
Alternatives: As suggested by the Council.
