7. Unfinished Business:
Janet noted that the number of tickets written continues to go down. We discussed it two
months ago and they are down again these last two months. She projects that based on
the trend that we are on right now, ticket revenue will be down around $9,000.00. Janet
would like to know if Jack is not out monitoring as much or if we do we not have as
much traffic. Wade will speak with Jack to see what he is noticing.
Mark expressed concern over the tickets that Glacier Bank is requesting be dismissed.
He does not think we should dismiss any tickets for the bank. Mark will discuss it with
Jim Ness. We have not dismissed any for First Interstate. Discussion followed regarding
the Rising Sun/First Interstate Lot. There is some confusion as to which First Interstate
Lots are currently being monitored. Mark suggested meeting with Charlie to see which
lots are currently under contract. Jack would like to start issuing tickets in the Glacier
Bank and First Interstate customer parking lots or take down our 1-hour signs. First
Interstate will have a new president starting in June. Mark will contact him to see if he
can meet with us or send a representative from the bank. Mark will contact both banks to
coordinate a meeting. As soon as a meeting date has been set, Wade will contact Charlie
so that he may attend the meeting also.
Discussion regarding lot maintenance followed. Mark would like to see more weeds
being sprayed. Janet requested the bush on the Northeast corner of the lot at the corner of
the alley and 1st Street be trimmed back. It has gotten tall enough that it is hard to see
around. Joel again requested that the curb stops be straightened and pinned in the Valley
Bank Lot. He would also like something to be done about the cigarette receptacle that
has been placed in the Valley Bank Lot. He is not sure who placed it there but has
noticed that it is broken and not being emptied regularly. There is also a bunch of
rubbish building up between the curb stops and the building that he would like to see
removed. Janet requested that the Eagles Lot curb stops to be checked also. Janet again
recommended that Paul with the BID be considered for future lot maintenance.
