Every year the planning department reviews pl ann g fees to determine if they are adequate and
appropriate. Staff recommends two charges this year to provide a more equitable fee structure.
Our current fee structure adequately addresses subdivision review procedures and subdivision
reviews when a PUD is involved. However, when some projects such as apartments or
condominiums that do not involve are associated subdivision review process utilize the PUD
mechanism, the requested Fees are sigrfficantly lower for the PUD review. In this ease we are
proposing creating a fee structure which copies the subdivision -review fee structure. Subdivision fees
are based on the premise of a standard fee plus too/unit. We propose the same formula for UD's
as shown below. For commercial ' "s we are incorporating a per acre fee.
Additionally, conditional use permit projects also use the per unit assessment. We propose updating
this schedule as well. These two categories are provided below:
Planned Unit Development projects when not submitted as part of a subdivision
Residential $ 5o plus $100 unit
Commercial 950 plus S50/acre
Conditional Use Pets
Single Family (10 or fewer trips/day) $250
Minor residential (2-4 units or i 1-49 taps/clay) $300 + $25/unit or IO
trips
Major Residential (5 or more units or 50+ trips/day) $350 + $50/unit or every
10 trigs
