2. Valley Bank Land ExchangeValley Bank of Kalispell is proud of the fact that we have conducted business in the heart of
downtown Kalispell since 1964. During this period our owners and employees have
contributed countless hours of community service as well as committed business and personal
finance towards many worthwhile organizations and events.
We feelthat the City and Valley Bank have mutually benefited :from this 40 plus year
relationship.
Our current facility and location has served us well, however it is time to address our future
needs regarding structure and location.
Ownership of Valley Bank, which is now represented by three generations of the two original
local families, would like to propose are exchange of five lots owned. by Valley Bank for five lots
owned by the City.
This exchange would allow Valley Bank to commit our resources to a new facility in the core
downtown area, we feel the exchange of equal square footage would produce benefits for
downtown business, owners, tax payers, city of Kalispell and Valley Bank.
The Valley Bank Board of Directors authorized the following proposal.
Proposal:
Valley Bank to exchange Lots #16,17,18,19 and 20 of Block 55 with the city owned Lots #S,
9, 10, 11 and 12 Block 55.
vo' Valley Bank to construct new building on land acquired from City.
✓ Valley Bank to work with City to accommodate dislodged leased parking tenants during
construction
vp' Upon completion of the building and occupancy the existing facility would be removed and
site would be brought to grade and paved by Valley Bank. Any site work beyond parking
would be shared proportionately with the City.
Any Environmental, issues associated on the current City owned site is to be cured by the
City and any issues with Valley Bank site will be the responsibility of Valley Bank.
,v' Future repair and maintenance to be handled by owners of record.
✓ Lots #13, 14,15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 to remain dedicated to parking, any changes require
both entities approval.
