BACKGROUND: The Council approved the purchase of one patrol car in the 2001-
2002 budget. In September the department advertised the vehicle for bid and received
bids on October Yd. One bid was received for a Crown Vic patrol unit from DePratu
Ford Sales in Whitefish in the amount of $23,570.00. This is within the amount budgeted
by the department. Copy of the bid is attached.
RECOMMENDATIONS: The Council should accept the bid from DePratu Ford Sales
for one patrol car in the amount of $23,570.00.
FISCAL EFFECTS: Expense of $23,570.00 from Capital Outlay.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by Council.
