Request For Proposals Evaluation For Lots 1 and 3

BACKGROUND:
One proposal for the purchase of Lot 1, the 2.98 site, was submitted by Northwest
Investments Partnership, LLP d/b/a Peak Development & Property Management.
Two proposals for the purchase of Lot 3, the 7.414 acre site were received from
Peak Development and from Murcon Development, Inc. Since none of the
responses were submitted in the requested format for which ranking consideration
was established, staff is preparing an evaluation review for council's ease in
comparing and evaluating each proposal. Prior to this evaluation being presented
to the Council, the Community Development Staff needs to visit with the City
Attorney on the legality of disposing of Urban Renewal Property in a form other
than advertised as well as visit with inter -departmental staff on criteria that migh t
affect the disposal of the land without actual working elevations and a scope of
work.
RECOMMENDATION: City Council reschedule the action regarding the sale of Lots 1 and 3 to November
19, 2001 to allow city staff sufficient time to evaluate and prepare the in-depth
analysis of the proposals for council's evaluation.
FISCAL IMPACT: Not applicable as of this date.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by Council.
