RE: City of Kalispell Sidewalk Rep acement Project — Bid Analysis Recommendation
Bids for the City of Kalispell Sidewalk Replacement Project were received from Sandon
Construction and Marriott Concrete. All bids are in order and contained the required Bid Bond.
The bid was comprised of fourteen individual sites. A lump sum price was requested for the
total of the fourteen sites.
The bid totals are as follows:
Sandon Construction $74,018.00
Marriott Concrete $79,996.50
The Public Works Department's estimate for the fourteen sites amounted to $74,000.00. There
are sufficient monies in the budget for this project.
A Supplemental bid was included in the contract to enable the owners of property adjacent to the
project sites the opportunity to have sections of their walkways repaired in conjunction with this
project. The Supplemental Bid establishes fixed prices for this work. The prices quoted by
Sandon are consistent for this type of work. A copy of the Supplemental Bid is attached. The
property owner will pay the contractor directly for this work.
I am recommending the bid for the City of Kalispell Sidewalk Replacement Project be awarded
