REPORTS/ RECOMMENDATIONS AND SUBSEQUENT COUNCIL ACTION
1. Citizenship Award
Police Chief Frank Garner will present Laura Cave with
a Citizenship Award for her honesty in returning $4,500.00
in cashiers checks she found in Smith's parking lot.
2. Resolution 4610 - Resolution Calling for Bond Sale - SID
#343
Special Improvement District #343 was created for the
reconstruction of Sunny View Lane, construction of
Heritage Way and improvements in Buffalo Commons Phase
V. Bids for the SID bonds will be accepted until noon on
May 23rd.
3. Award Construction Bid - SID #343
Five bids were received for the SID construction. A-1
Paving, Crockett Excavating, Goose Bay Equipment, Inc.,
LHC, Inc. and Settle Services. Staff is recommending the
bid be awarded to A-1 Paving on a low bid of $722,093.50.
4. Ordinance 1381 - Recodification of Municipal Codes -
Animals and Fowl
Ordinance 1381 modernizes the City's dog laws in Article
II, Chapter 4 of the Municipal Codes, and raises the
licensing fee for spayed females and neutered males to
$7.00.
S. Lease Extension Agreement for 248 3rd Avenue East
The Lease Agreement on the Community Development/Building
Department offices has expired and staff is recommending
Council approve a one-year Lease Extension Agreement.
6. Resolution 4611 - Lions Park
The Kalispell Lions Club has requested that the City
designate Lions Park as a "permanent park".
