Chris Kukulski, City Manager
SUBJECT: Request for reduction of City Specials for Street Maintenance.
Storm Sewer and Urban Forestry in excess of the standard City
residential lot- Maycumber Property.
MEETING DATE: November 26, 2001
BACKGROUND: Mrs. Maycumber has submitted a request for relief from City
Specials for her property. This property is in the City limits and was assessed for Street
Maintenance, Storm sewer and Urban Forestry. This property is a gravel pit. Since we have no
exemptions and Council's policy is to review requests on an individual case basis, this request
this being forwarded to you.
For your information, this property was not assessed in prior years - in error. That is the reason
for the increase on their tax bill. In the past, the Council has given relief to two large tracts of
property by assessing the specials as if the property were 10,000 sq.ft. This property is assessed
at 186,436 square feet.
Current assessments Assessments based on 10,000 su ft.
Forestry $ 125.84 $ 6.75
