Dispatch Center Console Furniture Support System Bid
MEETING DATE: August 20, 2001
BACKGROUND: This year the police department identified a need to upgrade the
911-dispatch facility. The council directed the department to entertain bids on that
improvement. On August 6, 2001 the City of Kalispell received bids on the dispatch
center console furniture support system with power gear and desktop enclosures. The
department received a bid from Watson Furniture Systems of Bainbridge Island,
Washington for $30,790.00 (thirty thousand seven hundred and ninety dollars) for the
entire system. This bid is within the anticipated limits for this portion of the project.
RECOMMENDATIONS: The council should accept the bid from Watson Furniture
Systems of Bainbridge Island Washington for the dispatch center console furniture
support system with power gear and desktop enclosures in the amount of $30,790.00
(thirty thousand seven hundred and ninety dollars). The 911 board has agreed to pay
$9,200.00 (nine thousand two hundred dollars) towards this project.
FISCAL EFFECTS: A net expenditure of approximately $21,590.00 will be required
from the city hall improvement fund.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the council.
