Resolution 4701 - Self Insured Health FundRESOLUTION NO. 4701 A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA, AS SET FORTH IN THE 2001-2002 BUDGET ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE PURPOSE OF APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR HEALTH CLAIMS. WHEREAS, in the budget adopted by the City of Kalispell for the 2002 fiscal year, certain detailed and itemized estimates of expenditures for health claims have proven inaccurate in the operation of the said Fund for the 2002 fiscal year, and WHEREAS, the overall expenditures of the said Fund are currently not in excess of the total of such estimates of expenditures adopted in the City's budget for the 2002 fiscal year, however, it does appear that the total of the budgeted appropriations in said classification will exceed such estimate for the balance of the 2002 fiscal year, and WHEREAS, reserves available under Self -Insured Health Fund classification will have cash not appropriated and said excess may be utilized, so that the respective budget appropriations are not exceeded by expenditures, and WHEREAS, said reserves are revenue accruing to the City not appropriated pursuant to Section 7-6-4271, and constitutes an overall increase in appropriation authority, and WHEREAS, the appropriate fund would be the Self -Insured Health Fund, 6050, with the appropriate expenditure line item 6050-403- 500620-354. WHEREAS, On May 20, 2002 at 7:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Kalispell, a public hearing was held to amend the Self -Insured Health Fund in the amount of $391,000.00 for health insurance claims. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That the annual budget for the Self -Insured Health Fund is hereby amended by increasing the appropriations within said Fund by $391,000.00 for health insurance claims.
