Dear Mayor Kennedy:
I am applying for the vacant position on the Board of Adjustment. I served two terms
on the Kalispell City -County Planning Board from 1990 though 1996. _1 had an
opportunity to become well acquainted with the zoning ordinances while serving on
the planning board.
I was employed by the State DNRC in 1996 to develop a right-of-way acquisition
program to access the school trust lands in northwest Montana. I have not been
actively involved in local boards during this period because of extensive travel with my
work. I am now retired, so I feel I can devote the necessary time to the Board of
Adjustments.
I was born in 1940 in Okanogan, WA, located in the north central part of the state.
attended Washington State University and have a degree in Forest Management.
was employed with the U.S. Forest Service and retired after 33 years of service in
1995. My employment was in Washington, Oregon and Montana, with most of my
career devoted to the agency's real estate management program.
I am married and have three grown daughters. We have lived in the Flathead since
1978 and within the Kalispell city limits since 1988. My current address is:
