Re: -Board Member Openings
Dear Honorable Kennedy:
One of the disadvantages of living in this remarkable country is
that when one journeys to another town for a little skiing, or just plain
enjoyment of what the winter offers, he has to catch up on his reading.
Here I am responding to an article in the Daily Inter Lake of a few days
ago.. That article was about Kalispell and the County seeking board
members. The article states the closing date for all applications is today
at 5 p.m. Hopefully, with my delivery of this letter to the Post Office
today, my application will be considered timely.
Enclosed is a one page resume. I retired from the San Mateo
County Superior Court last May, and, along with my wife, Maureen,
relocated to my home state shortly thereafter. We are frankly excited
about living in the Flathead Valley. So much so, that if I can offer some
public service to this community, I would embrace the opportunity. I
frankly don't have any preconceived notion of where I might best fit in,
but one possibility may be the Board of Appeals.
I offer my candidacy for whatever opening you and the City Council
deem best for Kalispell.
Very truly yours,
Enct
GEORGE R. TAYLOR
