Second Reading - Adoption of the Kalispell Zoning Ordinance
MEETING DATE: June 2, 2003
BACKGROUND: This is the second reading of an ordinance adopting the Kalispell
Zoning Ordinance as a permanent document. The growth policy provides the legal
basis for the adoption of zoning regulations. Since the growth policy has been
adopted, a permanent Kalispell Zoning Ordinance will finalize previous actions.
On May 19, 2003, the Kalispell City Council adopted the first reading of this
ordinance and on April 29, 2003 the planning board held a public hearing at a special
meeting regarding the adoption of a permanent zoning ordinance.
RECOMMENDATION: A motion to approve the second reading of the ordinance
adopting the Kalispell Zoning Ordinance would be in order.
