Kalispell Zoning Text Amendment - adding R-5 to the PUD
category and setting density for R-4 and R-5
MEETING DATE: December 15, 2003
BACKGROUND: This is the second reading on a request for a zoning text amendment
to allow a PUD overlay within the R-5 zone and to set the residential density for an R-
5 PUD at 14 dwelling units per acre and the PUD density for R-4 zones at 12 units per
acre. The purpose of this amendment is to correct an apparent oversight of some
years ago when the original R-5 zone was created and to create equality with the R-4
zone.
The Kalispell City Council held the first reading on December 1, 2003.
RECOMMENDATION: A motion to approve the second reading of the ordinance
would be in order.
FISCAL EFFECTS: None.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Council.
Respectfully submitted,
e
Thomas R. Jentz.
Director
