Given my desire to give back to the community as well as my educational background, I believe I would be a strong contributor to Kalispe l's current and future well-being. My position on Kalispell's Street Tree Commission has been rewarding .and has further ingrained my belief in the value created through professional, civic leadership. Currently, I work as a senior financial analyst for Hewlett-Packard. I provide consulting services to HP with regards to quality improvement. Past responsibilities at HP include planning and reporting for all income statement line items, new business development for the mobile printing market, and partnership support for several key HP third -party developers. I am a Montana native and graduated from Frenchtown High School. I received my B.A. in accounting and finance at Carroll College and completed my graduate work at Colorado State University. As I have lived in other cities and states, I understand how special Kalispell and A/fontana are and would like the opportunity to volunteer my time and shills to assure Kalispell remains a great place to live. I was barn and raised in Kalispell (1943 Vintage). Both my parents were born in Kalispell also. Dr. Brasset delivered all of us. My grandparents came here before Kalispell was here. They carve to Demarsville. I am an antique collector and have restored much furniture in my lifetime. My grandmother, Grace Monk, had an antique shop here as well as my aunt, Louise Monk. Currently I teach part time at PVCC and am a landlord. My last job was at Northwest Montana Human Resources in the Senior Housing Program, I worked under your friend Marge Jones, who might put in a good word for me. I have held offices in the Montana Landlord Association and AAUW. I am now a member of the Glacier Street Rod Association, The Northwest Montana Gold Panning Association and also the Red Hat Society. (Never used that one before as a reference). I have a degree in mathematics from the University of Montana. As a third generation Montanan one of the original contributors to the preservation of the Conrad Mansion, I have always had a great interest in saving and maintaining the mansion for fixture generations. My wife and I believe in supporting the local museums. I was one of the early members of the Northwest Montana Historical Society and did volunteer work for the Central School Museum - the "M." I have belonged to the Hockaday Museum of Art for over twenty years, and I joined the Conrad Mansion Association as soon as I heard about it. I am a retired firefighter for the City of Kalispell and my wite and I own an educational consulting business in downtown Kalispell, Project CRISS. I collect antiques and specialize in Montana relics. I have -time to devote to this position and would enjoy working with the other board members in preserving this historical treasure.
