SUBJECT: Equipment Purchase 2004
MEETING DATE: October 27, 2004
BACK GROUND: Equipment purchase requests approved by City Council
for FY 04/05 were a tractor loaderlbackhoe and out front
mower. The bid opening for these purchases was
completed on October 27, at 2:30 p.m. in City Hall. A
total of two responsive bids were received for this
equipment. In addition, there was a list of surplus parks
equipment to be used in trade to offset purchase costs and
to stay within the amount budgeted.
The following is a breakdown of the bids received.

RECOMMENDATION: Award bids to companies based on bid prices and
trade in allowances. Award Triple W $24,845 less
$6,000 (trade in credit) for a total of $18,845 for
tractor/loader and backhoe bid. Award Parsons
$26,000 less $8000 (trade in credit) for a total of
$18,000 for the out front mower bid. Grand total
award would be $36,845 out of a 04/05 budgeted
amount of $45,200.
FISCAL EFFECTS: Council approved funding of these purchases to be
included in the 04/05 Fiscal Year. The trade in
allowances will make these purchases possible
while remaining within the budgeted amounts.
