Box 1997 Kalispell, Montana 59903 Mayor Pam Kennedy: I am writing this letter to you regarding the upcoming openings on the City Planning Board. I have thoroughly had a wonderful education during my time on the Board and wish to continue serving on the City Planning Board. I am asking that you please consider me for reappointment to my seat. I would like to opportunity to continue doing something for the City of Kalispell and Flathead County. Watching our community expand and blossom for future generations is encouraging to me and I am encouraged with the positives that are beginning to sprout in our own local governing body. I am proud to be a resident of Kalispell and would like to be able to continue to give the City of Kalispell something back. There are so many opportunities for this valley in terms of growth and I feel that I have the ability to hopefully help make some of those happen with the future growth in our beautiful valley. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and your consideration for reappointment to my position on the City Planning Board. Sincerely, r Sue Ellyn Anderson 30 March 2004 Mayor Pamela Kennedy City Hall Kalispell, MT Dear Pam, I have enjoyed serving on the Kalispell City Planning and Zoning board these past few months I believe we have an excellent board in place. Box 1997 Kalispell, MT 59903 v"1 w Re: Planning Board and Zoning Commission Advisory Position C` _+ -ex < _ Dear Mayor Kennedy: CD rn in 1 would like to volunteer to fill one of the vacant seats on the Planning Board andzomng Commission. It would be my honor to serve the citizens of Kalispell in one of these advisory positions. I immensely enjoy living in this city and feel drawn to contribute to the community in a positive way. I grew up in Kalispell, but left to attend college and pursue work interests. However, the Flathead offers an enviable quality of life that I found myself missing more deeply as the years went by. When the opportunity to return arose, I did so without hesitation. My participation would add a fresh face. I would hopefully bring unique ideas and broad perspectives to compliment the board. I am neither a pro -business cheerleader nor an anti -development naysayer. In my opinion, growth is natural for attractive areas of the nation like ours, and preparing for this inevitability is essential to sustain the quality of life our residents enjoy. Kalispell is not the same as I remember twenty years ago, and it will not be the same twenty years from now. Only wise planning will ensure future change is positive and agreeable. I believe my work and life experiences give me a broad understanding of the Flathead and it's relationship to the rest of world. I will remain unbiased, rational and respectful of fellow members and their opinions, as well as to those presenting projects to the board. Our citizens and businesses deserve balanced representation that will act thoughtfully on behalf of their interests and needs. I have enclosed a brief outline my background, work experience and education. With these credentials and my belief in the people of the Flathead, I can make a constructive contribution to our community. I look forward to hearing from you and serving our city. Sincere Tim W. My current tenure runs out in April 2004, my first appearance on the Board having been November 2002 to fill a then existing vacancy. It's been a very exciting and rewarding experience for me to work with the Board. Each individual is very much a dedicated and thoughtful citizen who, to me, exemplifies what it means to give service to the community. Moreover, the challenges we have before us as this City and the Flathead Valley continue their growth, is positively energizing. I look forward to continuing at yours and the Council's pleasure.
