SUBJECT: A --end budget appropriations to reflect the receipt of $7,500
Cultural Arts Grant on behalf of the Central School Museum.
MEETING DATE: March 15, 2004
BACKGROUND: This is housekeeping Resolution for the recording of the grant
revenue and disbursement of the sarne. This is a pass throuj#i grant
from Montana Arts Council to the Northwest Montana Historical
Society to be used for operations of Central School Museum, The
City is the sponsor. The ,rant was awarded in the amount of S7,500.
This will be recorded in Special Revenue Fund 2927.
RECOMMENDATION. Adoption of this resolution.

RESOLUTION NO.4869
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL, MONTANA, AS SET FORTH IN THE 2003-2004 BUDGET ADOPTED BY
THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCEPTANCE OF THE MONTANA
CULTURAL ARTS GRANT.
WHEREAS, the annual appropriation for the Cultural Arts Grants Fund are state grants
sponsored by the City and received subsequent to the adoption of the Fiscal 2004
budget, and
WHEREAS, the source of the funds is the Montana Cultural Trust, Montana Arts Council
Grant #1076,
WHEREAS, the recipient of the Grant is the Northwest Montana Historical Society for an
operational grant for the Central School Museum, and
WHEREAS, $7,500 additional budget authority is needed to pass through the funds to the
Museum, and
WHEREAS, said funds available to the City were not appropriated pursuant to Section 7-6-
4271, and an increase of appropriation authority is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That on March 16, 2004 at 7:00 o'clock P.M., the City Council
authorizes and directs the Finance Director to increase the
appropriation for Fund 2927, the Cultural Arts Grant, to $7,500.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND SIGNED BY THE MAYOR OF
THE CITY OF KALISPELL, THIS 16TH DAY OF MARCH, 2004.
