BACKGROUND: The Kalispell Fire Department has received three bids for the installation of an
emergency vehicle exhaust system (EVES). This system is designed to capture 100% of all diesel
exhaust generated in the fire apparatus bay, reducing the cancer risk to our firefighters and
decreasing contamination of the Public Safety area of City Hall. The three bids were as follows:

All thite bids met the specifications. This project is in the current budget and is part of the FEMA
Assistance to Firefighter Grant awarded to the Kalispell Fire Department this fall.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Council awards the bid to CleanAir Concepts, Inc. for $58,950,00, and
instructs staff to complete contract with the vendor.
