Your proposed 4-lot subdivision appears to meet the design requirements of the Uniform Fire Code and the Kalispell Fire Department, based upon the following: ➢ It is our understanding that access to the 4 individual lots will be provided by an access roadway with an all-weather surface. The minimum width for the fire department access shall be 20', with a minimum clear height of 43'6". It does not appear that an emergency vehicle turnaround is required, based upon the discussion that the fire department access road is less than 150' in length. It was noted that an existing fire hydrant is provided at the intersection of Sunnyside and Denver. This hydrant appears to be adequately located to meet the minimum travel distance to your 4-lot subdivision. Fire flows in this area appear adequate to meet residential development. I hope this information is useful. Please contact me if you have any questions.
