The standard one-year probationary period will apply. The dedication and hard work you have demonstrated in the detective division were significant factors in your promotion. I appreciate the great casework that you have clone and your willingness to help improve those around you. In examining the need for an additional Senior Sergeant on the department we recognized with the increase in the number of officers and positions we have added in the past few years that there was a need to reduce the span of control for the Detective Lieutenant. You will have a key role in helping to coach and mentor the many new officers in the division as well as working with the Lieutenant on how you can best benefit your team. Thank you for your interest in this important leadership position and congratulations on your promotion to position of Senior Sergeant.
