I understand there is a position open on the Kalispell Business Improvement District
(BID) Board of Directors. If you think it is appropriate I would like to be considered for
that position.
As you know I am relatively new to the Flathead Valley but feel that I perhaps can be a
positive influence on the board because of my previous experience and no built in biases
or preconceived evaluations of individual interests. I am currently a board member of the
Kalispell Chamber of Commerce and perhaps I can help both organizations and the City
of Kalispell by serving on the BID Board.

to its long-term success. I have attached a resume, which may help you in your selection
of the new board member.
Carol and I are residents of Columbia Falls and don't know if that has an impact on the
appointment to this position but want to make sure you are aware of that fact.
If you have any questions or need more information do not hesitate to let me know.
Thanks for your consideration and I look forward to our next opportunity to visit.
Sincerely Yours,
Torn McElwain
