Kalispell, MT 59901 March 1, 2005 I am writing to express my interest in filling the vacancy on the Board for the Conrad Mansion. In addition to my interest in Historic Preservation, I believe my background could be beneficial to the mansion operation. Currently, I am a teacher at Flathead High School in the Special Services department. I teach Job Skills classes and Social Communication Classes to students with disabilities. am also certified to teach History and Political Science. In addition to a teaching degree, I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Management. My experience includes working with a Citizens' Board while employed as the Parks and Recreation Director in Havre and a member board while employed as the Athletic Director at the Elks Lodge in Kalispell. In addition to my experience, I have a strong interest in local history of both the Flathead Valley and the Tobacco Valley. I spent time exploring historical areas from rural school. houses to historical mansions. I am willing to roll up my sleeves and pitch in with whatever work is necessary for the operation of the Conrad Mansion and I believe I would be an asset as a board member. You did appoint Mark, who filled the seat vacated by Norb Donohue. Norb had resigned and Mark finished out the remaining two years of Norb's four year terra. I am writing now to ask that you please consider positively the re -appointment of Mark Munsinger as a City representative to the Mansion Board. Marls has proven himself to be a valuable Board member and volunteer at the Mansion. As a professional engineer, his perspective and experience has guided us on varicly of issues. He under- stands and is a proponent of the Mansion's importance in our community, participates actively on the Board, and continues to give of his time and talent during our main fundraiser event, Christma25 of the Mansion, as he has for many years. Mark's youth, enthusiasm, and commitment are qualities all of the Board members appreciate, and we consider him a valuable asset to the Museum's organization. As an aside, we have recently hired a new manager at the Mansion, Kate J\400dy of Whitefish, She started orientation and training bout two weeks ago.
