Dear Friends,
I am sure that by now you have received a letter from the Flathead County
Water and Sewer District #1-Evergreen. Their letter referenced a Central
Valley Wastewater Treatment Facility feasibility study. I am hopeful that you
will participate to some degree in this study committee,
have, from the beginning of my tenure as a Commissioner, been hopeful that
there might be some opportunity for a regional concept working in tandem
with Kalispell for the future of waste water and sewer use. It makes good
common sense to be in partnership, especially as a possible affluent distributor
for the Kalispell plant. I believe I can speak on the Counties behalf that this
study may prove to be an excellent source for the city to dispose of their
affluent.
In 1494 the water and sewer district offered GOOK to partner with Kalispell to
treat sewage, there was never a response given. In approx. 2001 Kalispell was
prepanng to do their study to enlarge their capacity, the Water and Sewer
District offered to be a part of the study and again, there was no response to
the District. I baring this to your attention only for the fact that I personally am
hopeful that Kalispell will participate in the committee as well as be open to
the Possibility of a regional joint effort where all of our citizens will benefit.
Thank you for your consideration of this very personal note concerning this
critical matter for this Flathead Valley.
Respectfully submitted, Gary D. Fall
