RE: LOT 1, DALEY FIELD SUBDIVISION OFFERING DOCUMENT
Dear Sir:
Thank you for sending Kiemle & Hagood Company an Offering Document requesting a proposal
to purchase Lot 1. First, allow me to apologize for not responding prior to June 9, as somehow I
had it in my mind that a proposal was not due until later in the month of June.
As you may know, Kiemle & Hagood Company represented Rosauers Supermarkets, Inc. in the
purchase of Lot 2 of Daley Subdivision. Further, as was anticipated in those negotiations and the
Development Agreement executed as a partof the closing of that transaction, an entity nowformed
by Kiemle & Hagood Company will be purchasing Lot 2 from Rosauers and developing for their
long-term occupancy a 50,000 square foot supermarket. Site work on that project is now under
way, and building construction will commence in early Septemberwith completion and Rosauers'
grand opening scheduled for mid -May 2000.
Given both our involvement and Rosauers' future occupancy of Lot 2, we are very interested in the
further development of Daley Field with additional B-2 type zoned businesses. Hopefully as a result
of the Rosauers project, the City of Kalispell has received proposals on Lot 1 in keeping with your
preference to sell the lot to an investor with a specific re -development proposal in hand. We
understand and support this requirement and the reason the City does not encourage proposals
or offers from developers whose plans are not site -specific. However, in the event you did not
receive an acceptable proposal, Kiemle & Hagood Company or principals thereof would definitely
have an interest in Lot 1, albeit speculative as to the design and ultimate users.
We certainly have enjoyed our working relationship with the City of Kalispell and the many fine
employees that we have had an opportunity to meet to date. We look forward to continuing this
relationship.
