Dear Mayor Kennedy;
I am writing to request an appointment to the Kalispell City Planning Board.
1 believe there is wonderful potentialin this valley for developing a thriving community.,
but there 1s also potential for mismanagement ent and poor decisions that will .negatively
affect the future of Kalispell and our surrounding area.
am a mother of three children ages 1.5, 14, & 11 yrs. I have traveled extensively around
the world and have been involved in community development projects overseas. I am
pro -active, and always try to "hear both sides" before make a conclusi0in.
I hope to see this valley become a place where local businesses grow, more industry
arrives, our Tinatra.l beauty" stays beautiful, and my kids will want to stay in this valley
and raise their families 1.1.
My In erest in being on the planniner board comes from a desire to see Kalispell " ro v
well" and I would appreciate your consideration.
Sincerely,

I submit this letter in order to request my consideration as an appointee to the Kalispell
City Planning Board. My interest in this particular board arises from a desire to see a
continued emphasis on planning so as to minimize future problems and to steer the
development of and within our community r to insure that It remains an inviting place to
live, work and play. The accelerated growth that Kalispell has endured in the past few
years has resulted in knee-jerk reactions in an attempt to steer this groom, often times in
a retrograde Fashion. It is clear that our plug efforts must accelerate as well in order
to be better prepared for the growth issues as they arise. Only in this way can we hope to
preserve those features of Kalispell that we feel rake it a desirable ommum't.
am a resident of the city of Kalispell. Additionally, I feel my experience as are
independent business owner, a member of the ranks of middle management of a Fortune
100 company, a project officer for a major military weapons system and an employee of a
small business operating within the local economy has prepared me adequately to deal
with the complexities with which this board must deal.
Your consideration in this utter is appreciated.
Respectfully,
Clint Cathcart
