SUBJECT: Meridian Trail Pocket Park — KAL STPE 6799(26)
MEETING DATE: December 4, 2006
BACKGROUND: The bid opening for the Meridian Trail Pocket Park — KAL STPE
6700 (26) was completed on Tuesday, November 23, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. in city Hall.
Two responsive bids were received for this project. This project includes installation
and construction of a pocket park located at the Kalispell Youth Athletic complex. This
park project was a part of the original project for the KYAc #3 Meridian connector trail.
The pocket parts was deleted from the original contract as the federal appropriation
was short of the necessary funds. Federal funds are now available to complete this
project, however, the Montana department of Transportation's approval of the bid and
certification form is needed prior to awarding the bid.
RECOMMENDATION: Postpone award of the bid for the Meridian Trail Pocket Park
to December 18, 2008.
FISCAL EFFECTS: None at this time.
