SUBJECT: EPA Clean Water Act Award
MEETING DATE: October 1, 2007
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recently announced that the City of
Kalispell has received a wastewater management award. In a recent press release
on the award and the Kalispell Wastewater Treatment Plant, EPA Regional 8
Assistant Administrator Steve Tuber commented, "Well -managed facilities such
as this one help ensure a clean environment and protect the public's health".
EPA officials will attend the October 1. meeting to present the City, and the
wastewater plant staff, with the Regional First Place Award for outstanding and
innovative achievements through operations and maintenance at the Kalispell
Wastewater Treatment Facility.
