7. Board Appointment - Parking CommissionMayor Pam Kennedy
Kalispell, Montana
My time on the Parking Commission has been interesting and
intriguing. While I am not a part of the "downtown community", it
has been interesting and intriguing to learn of the various situations
that confront "downtown"
I am fascinated by the possible improvements that can
be carried out, particuarly a "parking structure" ( at my stage of
life I may not actually see it, but I am sure it will happen)
The time has come when I feel that I can no longer
contribute to the purposes of the Parking Commission,
I therefor hereby submit my resignation effective May 21,
20070
Thank you for the opportunity to do what I was able to
Respectfully yours,
Richard M. Nelson

Dear Mayor Kennedy,
.April 26, 2007
Please allow me to introduce myself; my name is Joel Schoknecht and I have
resided in the Kalispell area since ig8i. My family has been a part of Northwest
Montana since the early igoo's.
At this tine I own two properties in the downtown business district and have a
,vested interested in our fair city. As a result I would be honored if you would take
my name into consideration when choosing the new member of the Parking
Commission.
I think my goals are the sane as many downtown lousiness owners, that is to
work towards more affordable parking that will in turn lead to reduced
restrictions that may seam to inhibit development in the downtown business
district.
My intensions are not to disrupt, but to work with the current members of the
Parking Commission. 1.
Thanking you in advance for your time and any consideration this letter may
bring.
Sincerely Joel Schoknecht
