2. Board Appointment - Impact Fee CommitteeMemo to: Mayor Pam Kennedy From: Jerry R.eckin Subject: Impact -fee advisory committee 1211106 I am very interested in serving on the impact fee advisory committee. I am a homeowner and resident of Kalispell. I have knocked on hundreds of doors in Kalispell and Evergreen during the last few months and my question to these homeowners and taxpayers was, "tell me your concerns". Most told me they are very concerned about their property taxes and energy costs for their homes and businesses. I have personally lived in an area where impact fees were part of the growth policy and witnessed the value to the infrastructure, police protection, fire protection and schools. we built several schools and other facilities as a result of fairly administered impact fees. I was chairman of the Libby School Board of Trustees and served on the St. John's Lutheran Hospital Foundation Board and I recall the struggles we had just to make ends meet. Lastly, I have a sincere *ire to protect and serve the people of Kalispell. I amp sure you are interested in the views and input from all segments of our community and look forward to a cooperative solution to this effort. Thanks for your consideration.
