10. Board Appointment - Technical Advisory CommitteeDecember 1, 2007
To the Honorable Mayor Kennedy',
My name is Gordon Pirrie and I would like to be considered for the city rep.
position on the T.A.C. advisory committee. As a longtime Flathead Valley
resident and business owner I am well aware of the dire need for a truck
bypass in the valley. I feel that my experience and longevity in the valley
would be a beneficial ndditon to the T.A.C. committee. I also believe as a
longtime downtown business owner that would be an added benefit to
represent the downtown core on the committee. The Flathead Valley is
growing and we need to make some decisons now on how to handle the added
traffic. I would like to be a part of those decisions.
Than ou for your consideration.

Subject: TAG citizen representative
Dear City Council:
As a long time city resident and Kalispell Chamber of Commerce representative to the Technical Advisory
Committee, I respectfully request to be appointed as the replacement for Virginia Sloan on the Technical Advisory
Committee. I am already familiar with the processes and projects before the committee due to my participation as
the Chamber of Commerce representative. In my limousine business I interface on a daily basis with many
aspects of our local transportation network (road, rail, air) and have an understanding of traffic patterns, needs
and solutions beyond the average citizen. I have resided with my family in Kalispell since 1990 and have a
commitment to the community expressed by my involvement in the Touch of Grace Clinic, Kalispell Chamber of
Commerce, Northwest (Montana Wedding & Event Professionals, Flathead Business & Industry Association,
Toastmasters, local church congregation, Kalispell Ministerial Association and other committees and causes. My
attendance at the many TAC committee meetings, public meetings and public hearings has been much better
than average, although not perfect, and clearly demonstrates my engagement in the process of improving the
transportation for our community. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Marc Rold
