Re: Mosquito Stormwater Lift Statio Bid Analysis
Bids for the Mosquito Stormwater Lift Station Replacement Project were opened on Friday,
April 11, 2008. Five bids were received. The Contractors and bid amounts are as follows:
CONTRACTOR BID AMOUNT
Goose Bay Equipment 139, 375.00
Kalispell, MT
Dick Anderson Construction 181150.00
Helena, NIT
Lakeside, MT
Western Municipal Construction 214, 245.00
Billings, MT
Sandry Construction $ 2199 680.00
I igfork, MT
All bids were in order and contained the required did Bond. The Engineer's estimate for the
project is $186,000.00. The apparent low bidder's bid is $ 46,625.00 below the Engineer's
estimate. A Pre -Award Conference will be conducted next week with the apparent lour bidder,
Goose Bay Equipment, to evaluate their interpretation of the specifications as their bid appears to
be below the reasonable cost analysis value.
I recommend postponing the award of this bid until a thorough evaluation of the apparent lore
bidders interpretation of the specifications can be completed.
