RE: Life Saver Awards
On December 3, 2009, Kalispell Fire department responded to the intersection of Main and Idaho for
a possible Motor Vehicle Accident. Upon arrival it was noted it wasn't a motor vehicle accident, but
CPR was in progress on a female patient in the middle of the intersection by two citizens. The two
citizens, Tammy Paskvan-Bowles and Jessica Baker pulled .the female from the car and started CPR.
KFD crews took over patient care and the female patient was defibrillated in the street and was
converted to a normal rhythm. The patient was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
The EMS system worked perfectly on this day and the outcome would not be possible without the
citizens doing CPR and the Paramedic's performance.
