Life Saving Awards - Fire DepartmentKALISPELL FIDE DEPARTMENT PO Box 1997 Daniel Diehl — Fire Chief 312 First Avenue East Kalispell, Montana 59901 Phone: (406) 758-7760 FAX: (406) 758-7777 December 15, 2009 TO: Pam Kennedy, Mayor and City Council Jane Howington, City Man FROM: Dan Diehl, Fire ief RE: Life Saver Awards On December 3, 2009, Kalispell Fire department responded to the intersection of Main and Idaho for a possible Motor Vehicle Accident. Upon arrival it was noted it wasn't a motor vehicle accident, but CPR was in progress on a female patient in the middle of the intersection by two citizens. The two citizens, Tammy Paskvan-Bowles and Jessica Baker pulled .the female from the car and started CPR. KFD crews took over patient care and the female patient was defibrillated in the street and was converted to a normal rhythm. The patient was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. The EMS system worked perfectly on this day and the outcome would not be possible without the citizens doing CPR and the Paramedic's performance.
