♦ OBJECTIVE
l would like to apply for a position with the Board of Adjustment.
♦ QUALIFICATIONS
I have owned and operated my own business since 1964.1 feel that being a
business and property owner have helped me learn about the city of Kalispell and
the requirements you must meet inorder to develop property. In 1993 1 worked with
the city to develop my own property. Today I have a home of my own and two
townhouses on that property. The project went very smoothly and I feel like I
leamed alot about the regulations on zoning, sewer, water, and electrical codes that
one must meet inorder to stay within the city's guidelines while developing their
property.
♦ WORK HISTORY
Owner, King Lair Barber Shop.
l have owned and operated the King's Lair Barber Shop in Kalispell since June of
1971.
♦ EDUCATION
Graduated from high school in May of 1959.
Barber School; Denver, Colorado. Practiced in Colorado from 1960 until June of
1971.
♦ FAMILY
Married my wife Ardis in 1963 and raised two children in the Flathead Valley. We
enjoy living in the valley and would like to be a part of the continued development
here.

RE: Appointments to Kalispell City Board of Adjustment
Dear Mr. Boharski,
I have recently become aware of an upcoming opportunity for appointment to the
Kalispell City Board of Adjustment, and am interested in your consideration for the
position. I am well aware of the responsibilities of the Board, and I am also
knowledgeable of the Kalispell City Zoning Ordinance.
My interest in the position stems from my experience with the Board in the past. It is my
opinion that the Board is in need of legitimate and objective interpretation of the Zoning
Ordinance, free from the influence, prejudices or opinions of building officials, or the
Zoning Administrator. My belief is that the Board of Adjustment is charged, by law, with
using only the guidelines of the Zoning Ordinance in rendering decisions, thereby
protecting the City of Kalispell from potential liability.
