Dear Mayor:
I am interested in the open position on the building inspection Board of Appeals. I have
included a resume with my qualifications.
I am the Regional Manager for the Property Assessment Division of the State of
Montana Department of Revenue. Our offices are located in Kalispell, and are
responsible for the implementation of property taxation for Flathead and Lake County.
In my line of work, I am required to present testimony to appeal boards, and am
therefore versed in county and state board's operations and protocol.
I am required to value all property within Flathead and Lake Counties, and am therefore
knowledgeable of the uses and intended uses of property. I am also familiar with zoning
regulations and their use within the county. I am also a General Certified Appraiser,
Certificate Number 507.
Prior to my coming to work with the Department of Revenue, I worked four years for a
general contracting firm in Missoula where we did residential and commercial new
construction and remodels.

Supervision of a staff of 30 technical, professional and supervisory positions. Responsible for the
regional work plan, budget and region policy. Operate the region within the confines of the law and
existing Division policy. Responsible for legislative review of laws pertaining to property taxation and
in their execution through administrative rule. I work closely with elected officials, real-estate agents,
fee appraisers, title companies, and lawyers.
