SUBJ : Scheduling a Public Hearing on
Bureau of Justice Block Grant
ADDISON H. CLARK
Chief of Police
DONALD A. HOSSACK
Asst. Chief
I need to schedule a public hearing for the next council meeting on a
Bureau of Justice Assistance Block Grant. The Grant is for $9,323.00 and will
be used to pay overtime for sworn officers to work shifts directed at juvenile
substance abuse and bike patrol in the business district and local parks.
The public hearing is needed to fulfill a legal requirement of the grant.
The hearing must allow for public comment on the proposed use of the grant
money. It is not necessary that anyone comment on the proposed use but only
that we provide the opportunity.
Thanks in a ance for our help!
